ABOUT

Nira Tal is an English-speaking comedian from Israel, based in Rotterdam. She moved to the Netherlands as a young woman after meeting her Dutch husband, and spent years feeling invisible before a corporate burnout pushed her onto a stage.
She started performing in 2018 — part midlife crisis, part discovery that mediocrity is also an art form. Today she is a house comedian at Comedy Club Haug and a regular on the Dutch and international circuit.
Nira is armed with the wisdom of fellow Rotterdammer Jules Deelder: “If you know your limitations, you can work within them without limits.”
So yes, her too-short limbs become the target of her own self-mockery — but after that, the other 7,999,999,999 Homo sapiens wandering around the planet are dissected just as mercilessly.
Nira Tal is a natural deadpan comedian, casually talking her way through the most uncomfortable subjects — a combination that is as contradictory as it is illuminating.
Work, social media, wine from a box, marriage, sex, dating, adultery and non-monogamous lifestyles: nothing is sacred, and nothing is safe.
Her current live show is GROUNDED.
